Report a missed bin collection

If your bin was not collected on the scheduled day, you can report a missed collection online. We aim to collect your bins on the day shown on your calendar.

What you will need

Your address or postcode
The type of bin that was not collected (general waste, recycling, garden waste, or food waste)
The date it was due to be collected

What happens next

Once you report a missed collection, we will investigate and arrange for your bin to be collected as soon as possible. In most cases, we will collect within 2 working days.

Why bins may not be collected

The bin was not put out on the correct day
The bin was not accessible (blocked by cars, bikes, or other objects)
The bin was too heavy or could not be lifted safely
The bin was not the correct type or had the wrong lid

Tips for successful collection

Put your bins out by 6am on your collection day
Do not overfill your bins
Ensure there is enough space around your bins for the collection crew
Close all lids securely
