Apply for a parking permit
Greenfield Borough Council offers several parking permit options for residents, businesses, and visitors. Parking permits allow you to park in designated areas for a set period.
Who can apply
- Resident permits — Available to people who live in a controlled parking zone
- Business permits — Available to businesses operating within a controlled parking zone
- Visitor permits — Available for temporary parking in controlled zones
- Blue Badge holders — Disabled parking permits for eligible residents
Resident parking permits
To qualify for a resident permit, you must:
- Live within a controlled parking zone
- Have a vehicle registered at your address
- Not have any outstanding parking fines
Business parking permits
To qualify for a business permit, you must:
- Have a business address within a controlled parking zone
- Provide proof of business registration
- Demonstrate a genuine need for on-street parking
Costs
- Resident permit (annual): 120 pounds
- Business permit (annual): 350 pounds
- Visitor permit (daily): 5 pounds per day
- Blue Badge permit: Free
What happens next
Applications are usually processed within 10 working days. You will receive your permit by post and must display it clearly in your vehicle.
